Napili Canoe club is dedicated to perpetuate the Hawaiian island lifestyle and culture of Hawaiian outrigger canoe paddling.   It is our mission to build community awareness, nurture healthy family involvement and cohesiveness through the art and education of Hawaiian canoe paddling.

What's Happening NOW at NCC?

ON-GOING REGISTRATION!!  

Come down to any of our practices:

Keiki:  (for week of April 8th only) Mon & Wed:  4p - 5:30p

(from week of April 16th through May 2nd):  Tues & Thurs:  3:30p - 5:30p

(from week of May 6th):  Mon, Tues & Thurs:  3:30p - 5:30p

Keiki Bring:

  • copy of birth certificate
  • signed waiver (can print, fill out and bring to registration or fill out there)
  • fill out keiki registration packet (obtain packet at registration day)
  • $35.00 Registration fee/dues
  • photo - to be taken at registration day

 

Adults:  Mon & Wed 8am or 5:15p & Sat. 8am

Adults  Bring:

  • copy of ID (Driver's license or state ID)
  • signed waiver (can print, fill out and bring to registration or fill out there)
  • fill out adult registration packet (obtain packet at registration day)
  • $125.00 Registration fee/dues*
  • photo - to be taken at registration day

* Family rate:  $150.00 - The family rate applies to self, spouse (if applicable) & children

 

 

Past Events

Saturday, March 30, 2013 - Memorial Service for Shaun Fagan

Mahalo to all who were able to attend the remembrance of NCC Paddler Shaun Fagan.  Shaun's ohana thanks all who celebrated his life both in attendance and from afar.  Mahalo to Bill Green for his beautiful words and kind blessing for the day.  

Unfortunately, later that day, Shaun's father was involved in a car accident on his way to the airport.  Fortunately, Shaun's father is ok and was able to head back home.

Mahalo for all your prayers and well wishes.

 

2012 HCRA State Championships, Ke'ehi Lagoon, Saturday, August 4th, 2012 -- NCC Keiki qualified 9 crews ~ of the 9 crews, two came in 1st place (mixed 12 and under and 14 girls -- UNDEFEATED!), one crew finished 3rd (girls 15), boys 12 finished 4th, girls 13 came in 5th, boys 14 finished 9th, girls 12 and 16s ended in 10th and girls 18 and boys 15 finished 12th -- ALL races had 14 lanes full!  As a club, we tied for 5th place with Wa'akapaemua ~ Great job by all who participated!  Mahalo to all who supported our keiki in their endeavors to travel to states!:  

AA-Keahiakahoe 110, Waikiki Beach Boys 108, Hui Lanakila 107, Waikiki Surf Club 91, Wa'akapaemua 85, Napili 85, Healani 80, Na Kai Ewalu 75, Manu O Ke Kai 72, Leeward Kai 64, Kai 'Ehitu 51, Ka Mamalahoe 42, Hanalei 37.

7th Regatta, Saturday, July 21st:  MCHCA Championships -- Ka Lae Pohaku - Awesome season NCC!!  Great job!

6th Regatta, Saturday, July 14th: John Wilmington III Regatta - Kahului Harbor -

5th Regatta Saturday,
July 7th Naleieha Regatta at Hanakao'o Beach Park - Weather was a challenge and we did have some huli, but everyone did a great job overall!  Keep pushing forward gang!  Imua Napili!

1st Distance fundraiser for the 2012 season:  
Friday, July 6th, 2012 - Paradise Grill -- It was a great success!  Mahalo nui to Jr. and Paradise Grill for setting up this event.  

4th Regatta Saturday, June 23rd
 Dougie Tihada Memorial Regatta
at Hanakao'o Beach Park -- Slightly windy day, but overall, a success!  Great racing, awesome raffle / silent auction prizes, ono grindz, nice club and regatta shirts, fun people -- who could ask for anything more?!

Sunday, June 17th --- Huli Chicken Fundraiser was a successful NCC Keiki Fundraiser!!   Lots of people stopped by "Pump House" to help support NCC Keiki -- $10 donation for a huli huli chicken plate (including a bottle of water) -- monies to go towards States.   Big mahalos to Aunty Ray and her crew for helping us with this fundraiser -- 'ono and awesome chicken!!!

Mayor's Umeke Regatta at Kahului Harbor, Kahului Hosted by Lae'ula o Kai Canoe Club -- another great day of paddling!

2nd Regatta Saturday, June 9th
 Kamehameha Regatta at Ka Lae Pohaku, Kihei Hosted by Wailea Canoe Club - 4th place overall Napili!!!   Ye--yay!!!  Great job!
